Valentine's Class

Every year I get excited about Valentine's Day! This year we will be in Kansas City with no children! :) I'm pretty excited. Any ideas/suggestions on where we should dine?

I have a new blinkie on my blog regarding UStamp! Great gals with great inspiration! I found the two projects below from Makeesha! Wow! Check her out!

Okay so on to the Valentine's class...

We will be creating 4 projects all using the Candy Lane designer paper. We will create a wine box, a post-it holder, a Valentine's card and a box that will hold chocolate! Perfect gifts for work, lovers, friends, etc. The class will be on February 8Th from 2-4pm at my home. The cost is $20 which includes your own pack of candy cane designer paper ($9.95 value). You will have extra paper to take home and create some more projects with. Space is limited! You must prepay so I know how much paper to order! I am accepting cash, check, visa, and MasterCard.

Payment due by Feb. 4Th!

New catalog...New product...

Oh my goodness, have I been excited to show you all the products/stamps that Stampin' Up! has in their new catalog. I have a bunch of new classes coming up!

I will be having a Stamp-a-Stack in the beginning of Feb. That is where you will create 10 cards w/ coordinating envelopes for $15! These will be of all different occasions and will be great to have on hand for the New Year! As well as a Valentine's class and some clubs will be forming shortly. Look for updates via email later to come.

Here is a sneak peek as some of the new product in my hot little hands! :) I have been creating all week and look forward to showcasing what I have made. Please email me if you are needing a catalog or visit my website at www.courtneycarpenter.stampinup.net.

I can climb like a spider!

Owen has a fascination with spiders and spiderman. Partly due to his parents. For instance our Brita filter system is Superman water and they know that if they drink from that they will grow big and strong. Owen is also on growth hormone shots that is called "superman potion" and makes him grow big and strong too! So as you can image my 4 year old thinks he is SPIDERMAN!! Here is one example of his spiderman powers that he has been doing since he was 2 1/2 years old. He climbs this and gets to the top and says, " Look out below!" I shouldn't encourage this behavior but it is super cute.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Brian and I decided we needed to reevaluate our meals. We are going to try to eat more chicken and fish. This recipe was easy and really good. Owen is our extremely picky eater so we have to do things different for him EVERY meal.

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.), cut into 1/2-inch strips
3 T. cornstarch
2 T. soy sauce
1/2 t. ground ginger
1/2 t. garlic powder
3 T. veg. oil, divided
2 C. broccoli florets
1 cup sliced celery (1/2-inch pieces) I omitted
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 small onion, cut into wedges I omitted
1 cup water
1 t. chicken bouillon granules

Place chicken in a lg. resealable plastic bag. Add cornstarch and toss to coat. Combine soy sauch, ginger, and garlic powder; add to bag and shake well. Refrigerate 30 min. In a lg. skillet or wok, heat 2 t. of oil; stir-fry ck. until no longer pink, about 3-5 min. Remove and keep warm. Add remainig oil; stir-fry broccoli, celery, carrots, and onion for 4-5 min. or until crisp-tender. Add water adn bouilon. Return ck. to pan. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Yield 4 servigs.

Enjoy!

Black Hawk Helicopter

This morning Brian asked the boys and I if we wanted to go see a Black Hawk Helicopter at his weekly Rotary meeting. The boys yelled, YES, so we went. Miles was a little nervous about this big machine but Owen couldn't wait and said, "Dad that is totally awesome!" Owen then got to sit inside and put on the seat belt. The look on his face is soo cute he was so excited. Here is our little family with the helicopter.

January Submission for UDI

This cute little holder will hold two 3x3 cards with coordinating envelopes. I am a designer for Utah Divas International where I submit monthly projects to have them showcased on their blog. I enjoy being a part of this group as I have met many wonderful lifelong friends! Enjoy the pics.

Santa brought bicycles

The boys woke up Christmas morning with bicycles under the Christmas tree. They were so excited! The day after Christmas we took them to the school to test them out. I too received a bicycle from my sweet husband. Now this summer we can take family bike rides. I am really looking forward to some summer memories.
